If you are reading this blog entry in the summer of 2020, welcome! You are here at the start of my writing career. If you are reading it sometime later because you’ve read one of my books, also welcome, and thank you. You can still follow my journey from the beginning, but hopefully, I will have grown as a writer over that time.
I finished the first draft of my current work in progress (WIP) in April, and after a short break dove into editing and revising. I’ve made one full pass through draft one adding details and fixing goofs. I plan to spend another four to six weeks on self-editing before sending it to a professional editor. With any luck and a lot of hard work, I hope to release the book on Amazon Kindle in late November.
I have started plotting books two and three already. I wrote the first chapter of book two and some scenes in book three. I’m very excited about how the ongoing story is shaping up. That being said, I won’t be focusing on those a great deal until I send off book one to an editor.
I’ll update this blog weekly and use it as a way to document my writing journey. I’m not an expert yet, but I’ve always found learning about other writers’ journeys and paths to success inspirational and illuminating. Not so much because I can emulate their path, but studying others shows you the many paths that are available to you. I hope to share some of those insights and resources with you,
Check back here in the coming weeks and months, for more details on book one such as name, synopsis, cover, release information, and much more.
As I get closer to the release date I will be launching an official newsletter. If you are interested in subscribing to the newsletter, please enter your email address in the form below.
