On hostile worlds beyond the edge of Imperium space, the past is not as dead and buried as the citizens of Mechhaven had hoped, but it might be their only salvation.
Master Sergeant Dennis Greer, decorated soldier of The Mechanai War, thought Mechhaven would be his last post. He was done with heroics and wanted nothing more than time to mourn the dead and to fade away into obscurity.
Following the tragic Battle of Mechhaven, Dennis found himself in the spotlight once again. Requested by the highest levels of government, he was transferred to a Forward Operating Base beyond the borders of Imperium space and ordered to work with former enemies to investigate alien incursions and determine the nature of their threat to galactic civilization.
Accompanied by four newly recommissioned mechs, each with goals and baggage of their own, Dennis must overcome his hatred of the Imperium, confront enemies both new and old, and finally come to terms with his past. Failure at any level could spell doom for himself, his friends, Mechhaven, and the galaxy.
On Darkhaven Forged is the exciting third installment in the Mechhaven series, an epic space opera, sci-fi adventure.
My Musings
Since the last newsletter, I’ve been busy completing the final review of On Darkhaven Forged. Now that I’m done and once I send this newsletter, I’ll breath a sigh of relief and patiently await launch day. Tomorrow I’m off to hang out with my kids at Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim and will spend the next few days relaxing and recharging. I’ll be back to working on Mechhaven Book 4 sometime next week.
Mechhaven Missives
- This past week I celebrated the one-year anniversary of releasing Pax Machina. By celebrate, I mean my wife took a picture. I was too busy wrapping up On Darkhaven Forged to do much else.
- As I mentioned last time, I’ll be revealing the title and cover for Mechhaven Book 4 this week. If you’re interested, scroll to the bottom of this newsletter. If you’d rather wait to find out until after you finish reading On Darkhaven Forged, don’t scroll past the Featured Promotion section.

Baldwin Tavares is called up by the Admiral Pitch to join in their expedition to the planet Allende 1-b, also known as Neighbor. Baldwin and his team were requested for their very specific skill set, as they are the best in their individual fields. Eager to be part of something bigger than himself, Baldwin, aka Win, convinces his team to go on the expedition. They aim to find some remnants left behind of the once inhabited planet Neighbor in the hopes of studying and preserving whatever knowledge about them that they find.
Win begins to realize the expedition to Allende 1-B is not entirely scientific. He suspects the Pacific Ocean Mining Organization, or POMO, have sunk deep into the pockets of the ship’s commanding officers, with the hopes of mining Allende 1-B for its rich mineral reserves as soon as they arrive. As such he immediately starts investigating the ship to confirm his suspicions. When Win finds out he was right, he races to convince the crew against any mining expeditions before it’s too late. However, little does he know something even more pressing will require his attention before he even gets the chance to tell anyone.
