Hello,
I hope you are doing well. If you are a new subscriber, welcome and thank you for joining up!
Last week, as part of the long holiday weekend, I visited some friends I hadn’t seen in quite a while. It was nice to have an in-person get together. Fun Times!
As I write this newsletter, it is a bright and sunny Saturday morning. It’s nice at the moment, but it feels like it has the making of a triple-digit day. Later this morning I’ll be taking my son and his friend to see Thor: Love and Thunder. When I return home, I’ll work on staying cool and writing this afternoon and evening.
Do you have any exciting plans for this weekend or trips coming up? What books are you reading this Summer? Let me know!

Mechhaven Missives
- I’m making progress on Rally Point: Mechhaven Book 4 once again! In the fourteen days since the last newsletter, I’ve written on twelve of them. I’m currently at 33% complete on the first draft.
- If you’re a new subscriber, in the last newsletter I posted links to the playlists of the music I listened to while writing the first three Mechhaven Books.
- Now that I’m back on track with Rally Point, I’ll take a day or two in the coming week to wrap up the first draft of the short story I’ve been mentioning.
