Gregeration X Newsletter August 19, 2023-Countdown to Rally Point

The countdown is on! Less than a week until the release of Rally Point! For me, I have just under two days to finalize the manuscript and upload it to Amazon to meet the release date. My final read through is going well. At this point, I’m enjoying the story as a reader, but found one major problem. I realized the version that I had loaded into Vellum, the program I use for formatting, wasn’t the correct version! After a little scrambling, I corrected the file to the proper version and it’s been smooth sailing ever since.

It was my birthday last week, and I took a couple of days off work to celebrate and give me time to wrap up Rally Point. I have some other get-togethers planned with family and friends over the weekend, so the next few days will be pretty busy.

I also just received an alert on my phone about a Tropical Storm Warning for southern California. We’re now expecting rain and tropical storm-force winds within the next 36 hours. I’ll have an update on that in the next newsletter. Fingers-crossed that we don’t lose power until after I upload my final file to Amazon!

Mechhaven Missives

Rally Point will be released on August 24, 2023. If you haven’t already, please consider pre-ordering it by clicking here.
If you prefer a physical copy, the paperback edition should be ready by Thursday as well. I just need to have my cover artist make one slight change to the paperback cover and that should be ready to submit to Amazon. From there, it can take anywhere from one to three days for the book to be live on the Amazon site.
As per my usual routine when releasing a new book, I will send an extra email blast out on Thursday to announce the official book release.
I’ll also have discounted pricing on Pax Machina and Mechs and Machinations, so if you have any friends or family you’ve been wanting to get into the Mechhaven series, that will be the perfect time for them to dive in.
