Big News!
I received confirmation (and an invoice) to be an exhibitor at this year’s WonderCon in Anaheim, CA from March 29th to March 31st. I’ll have a space in the “Small Press” section and couldn’t be more excited. I’ll share more details as they become available. If you will be attending, stop by and say “hello”!
Mechhaven Missives
- Book 5 Progress-As busy as work has been for the last few weeks, I’ve still managed to get in several evenings of writing. I have the next three days off with no other plans, so I hope to get in some extra writing time.
- Pax Machina Audiobook Update-I recently listened to Chapters 13-16 of the audiobook. They were great! With the completion of Chapter 16, this puts us at about 76% complete. I believe there is another chapter or two in the editing process, and the final few are being prepped for recording. My fingers are crossed for an early Spring release. I’ll let you know as soon as it’s ready.
Mech of the Month
This month’s Mech of the Month definitely falls into the “Go Big Or Go Home” category. Mechagodzilla first appeared in 1974’s Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla. He was originally an alien-made robotic doppelgänger of Mozilla, but in a battle had his skin burned away, revealing its true nature. Mechagodzilla has a vast array of weaponry, including lasers, finger rockets, and force fields. This robotic beast can even fly! There have been several incarnations of Mechagodzilla over the years. Each version seems to get bigger and more powerful.
I discovered Mechagodzilla as a kid, sometime in the 1970s. I thought he was pretty bad ass, especially the finger rockets. I can also say that the name Mechagodzilla was the first time I remember hearing the term “mecha” or “mech”. I also enjoyed his appearance in 2021s Godzilla vs. Kong.
