It feels like Déjà vu. In the last newsletter, I had started my morning with vehicle maintenance. The same is true today, only this time, it was a smog check. Also, it looks like we are expecting rain again. This time, it’s supposed to be a lot. Wish us luck!
January whizzed by in a blur. It wasn’t totally unexpected as my work load in January tends to be pretty high. That, combined with some other unexpected events, kept my family busy. February is going to be busy as well in terms of work-related projects. Hopefully, things slow down by March!
The highlight of January was attending Pasadena Comic Con. Here are some pics of my setup, me, and my son at the event. I’m sporting a Pax Machina t-shirt.

- Book 5 Progress-I have a few days off later this month that I’m going to treat as a “writing retreat”. I’m not going anywhere, but I’ll dedicate those entire days to working on By Archangel’s Light. Beyond that, I’m plugging away, writing five hundred to a thousand words every chance I get. Slow and steady wins the race.
- As mentioned above, I was at Pasadena Comic Con last weekend. It was only for one day, but I sold some books and talked to some great people, which will hopefully generate some more sales in the future. After having a larger space than at my previous author event in Vegas (8ft instead of 4ft), for future events, I determined I’ll need to add some more books and other features to my setup. The next event, if I’m selected, will be at the end of March.

The more you back away from a conflict, the closer you’re getting to war….
She’s many things. A foundling, a princess, the last of her line, the first of the nameless order. She’s an orphan and grew up in a jungle. She’s homeless because a royal palace doesn’t fit. She’s trained to be a crack trooper, but she’s an even better friend. You could spend eternity reading a list of what she is. What she’s not, is an average human. After all, she was brought up by hundreds of mothers…and they’re all frontier gods.
Until next time, have fun and read a lot of books!
