Gregeration X Newsletter January 21, 2023-What is that bright glowing orb in the sky?

I hope everyone is doing well. This is the first Saturday in several weekends that the sun is actually shining outside. In southern California we have had quite the streak of rainy days. I don’t mind, since I love cloudy and rainy days, and we need all the precipitation we can get, but it is nice to see the sun.

I have a quick favor to ask everyone. I’m planning something fun that I will explore in this newsletter and on social media this Spring. It will be a lot more fun with your input.

I personally have a pretty loose definition of what constitutes a mech. In the Mechhaven universe, mechs can range from piloted machines like Yoshiro Sero’s Ruby mech in Mechs and Machinations to more human-like Attaché mechs like Therapy.

For what I’d like to do, please send me the name/model of your favorite mech, robot, android, droid, or other artificially intelligent being and the franchise that they’re from. If you can’t narrow it down, send me more than one. I’m looking forward to seeing your favorites!

Mechhaven Missives

I finished my first editing pass a few days after the last newsletter went out.
I’m now working on adding some new scenes and expanding some existing scenes. I’ve already updated the prologue and scenes in Chapters 1-4. I’ll continue working on this until I’m done. I’m planning on getting through several more chapters this weekend.

Who controls the universe?

It’s the distant future. Humanity has built a Dyson Sphere around the sun, which encompasses the inner planets. Cliff Hock is back to bounty hunting, but a strange case of amnesia has him questioning the events around him.

Cliff Hock is caught in a “whodunnit” mystery that sends him into pocket dimensions he didn’t know existed. But who is doing what? Who is Nexus Tobbs? And how did Cliff Hock know to travel 1,000 light years and through a wormhole to find him? Is the Dyson Sphere acting unlawfully? Why are the Contra Krugs involved? Are the people around him his friends or enemies? Cliff must unravel who is behind the puzzle, but he must also figure out what the puzzle even is.
